ABOUT THE CENTENARY CELEBRATION OF THE SCHOOL

2013 AD is thought to be memorable for the masses of Dhupdhara, the small agglomerating village situated in the easternmost part of Goalpara district in the south bank of the river Brahmaputra. Since prehistoric period this place has been known for assimilating centre of all castes and creeds and consequently became a pioneer place of trade, commerce and learning. The time when nationalism arose among the people of Europe that gave rise to the 1st World War, some of the illeterate people but foresighted one had thought to established the first centre of learning in the standard of lower primary. Resultantly, 68 No. Khairuddin Adarsha Prathamik Vidyalaya came into existence in 1914.

People of the locality nurtured it for a long period of 100 years that is going to complete. To see behind and to commemorate its glorious past, the school committee, all stake holders and general public are intending to celebrate this occasion a "Centenary Celebration".

Pursuing to the above background, the general meeting formed a committee to observe various programmes round the year. To make the celebration a grand success, the celebration committee announces some programmes. Among them, the celebration is going to open on 29th October, 213, followed by sports events among children of the loclity below 11 years of age. Besides, the committee intend to arrange a popular lecture to be delivered by Dr. Jiten Das, Secretary, Cultural Affairs, Govt. of Assam and distinguished researcher of history and culture and Mr. Jafar Ali Ahmed, Principal, DIET, Dudhnoi.

As the main part of the celebration, the committee resolved to prepare three days closing programme during 3-5 January, 2014. The detailed programme will be announced later on.
